Summary

The Graphic Design Student Assistant will work closely with marketing department to support various projects and initiatives. This position is designed for current graphic design students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting while contributing to the college community.

Students will work on a part-time basis, often with flexible schedules to accommodate class needs. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours to be eligible for student employment opportunities during fall and spring semesters. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours to be eligible for student employment opportunities during summer semester.

Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

• Must be enrolled in 6 credit hours at ICC during the semester of employment for fall or spring or enrolled in 3 credit hours for summer employment.
• Currently enrolled as a student, pursuing a degree or certificate in graphic design or a related field.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Strong creative and conceptual skills, with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working in marketing.
