Overview:
We are seeking a skilled working Chef to join our team to work at a special, fast-paced, prestigious Federal Government food service location in DC. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and the ability to lead a kitchen team effectively, excellent customer service skills, and attention to detail.

Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation
- Create and update menu items according to seasonal availability and food trends, incorporating various international and Western dishes.
- Ensure high-quality standards for taste, presentation, and safety
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of fresh ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed

Experience:
- Proven experience in culinary arts and kitchen management
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
