JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role will be responsible for running the production line for the Blair Rubber production facility. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment.

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE;

  • Adhering to safety policies, programs, procedures
  • Inspecting raw material and finish products per quality specifications
  • Conducting quality checks at regular intervals
  • Operating manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard work instructions
  • Operating counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
  • Entering waste, downtime data into system
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Operates production machinery in accordance to standard operating procedures and specifications. Assigned machines may include hoists, mixers, mills, grinders and similar equipment

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE; 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred
  • Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity and Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow direction and specific instructions
  • Good communication skills; Fluent in English - Reading, Writing and Speaking
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
