Ikigai is Hiring a Beverage Director Near Brooklyn, NY

Ikigai is a new Japanese fine dining restaurant located in Fort Greene, near Barclays Center and BAM. In a beautiful and large newly-constructed space, we will be seating 12 people (and 144 covers per week) our Kaiseki menu with Michelin-level execution.
The restaurant is a staff of industry veterans, looking to hire a line cook to join the team. All of the staff will participate in all aspects of service, including serving customers and running plates.

Requirements:

Available for full-time work

Experience with creating cocktail (and sake) pairings with Japanese food

Responsibilities:

To create and serve a beverage pairing with an 8-10 course tasting menu. The menu will be highly seasonal and items will change weekly. The pairings will also change accordingly.

Start Date:

Expecting a late May start date for a mid June opening.
