Summary

Join the WINNING TEAM at IGT Global! IGT is seeking a Pre Media Specialist in the area of Lakeland. This position is responsible for creating print ready files for flexographic plating and the technical assistance necessary to ensure that digital artwork meets the printing capability. Assist the Creative Designer to ensure all artwork is within specifications. This person will also assist the flexographic plating process by creating finished plates as needed. IGT Lakeland is a high-speed printing and packaging operation. We supply instant scratch lottery tickets to players around the world.

Please Note: This is a night shift position.

Responsibilities

Pre Media
  • Format and proof both text and images submitted by designers into finished files that can be printed
  • Review all print jobs to identify the information is present to produce the files based on established specifications
  • Coordinate with the Account Services, Creative Design and Press teams to work through necessary changes
  • Responsible for the effective configuration, operation and maintenance of the digital proofing systems and calibration of the color curves established from the press fingerprinting
  • Responsible for file preparation for inserts and point of sale material to be printed on internal digital press
Plate Making
  • Setup plate exposure equipment and loads film flats and underdeveloped printing plates
  • Make sure vacuum frame and glass are free of dust, debris, etc
  • Process exposure for proper amount of time and perform manual, as well as step and repeat operations
  • Check finished plates or proofs for flaws, position and check for proper exposure using standard scales and loop
  • Send proofs for approval as required
  • Create plates from approved proofs or film and send to Plate Mounter

Qualifications

IGT Global Requirements
  • Follow all policies such as Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Information Security, Environmental Compliance, etc
Education Required (high school, college degree, training, or certifications requirements)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Required (years of experience, specific industry or previous job experience requirements)
  • 3 years of experience in flexographic or similar printing premedia/prepress operations
  • 5 years in overall experience of graphic design, commercial printing, or premedia/prepress related skills
Skills Required (software, technical, industry, equipment, lifting, and physical requirements)
  • Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Teams, etc
  • Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, Illustrator, Design, Acrobat
  • Computer skills able to navigate shared drives, folders and files on the company server
  • Knowledge of digital prepress, page imposition, printing methods and premedia/prepress procedures
  • Knowledge of ESKO/Artworks Systems for establishing workflows and to troubleshoot RIP file problems
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 50% of the day, bend and lift light to medium materials weighing up to 50 lbs, and reach at or above shoulder height with good dexterity
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Strong skills in time management, project management and organization
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision under tight time constraints
  • Ability to work independently, but also partner as a team player

The estimated starting compensation range is $__14.47____ - $__31.01_____. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
