IGO Medical Group – OB/GYN Back Office Medical Assistant - Full Time Days with Benefits

IGO Medical Group is currently seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to function under the direction of the Chief operating Officer. This is a 40 hour per week position (days Monday through Friday) with a good benefit package including health insurance, vacation/sick time and a pension plan. The salary offered will be commensurate with education and experience.

Position Overview: Provide back office OB/GYN Medical Assistant functions for busy OB/GYN physician. Directly assist the physician in delivery of patient care.

Education and experience: High school diploma and medical assistant certification or diploma required. Current CPR card. Must have medical office experience including at least two years of OB/GYN back office medical assistant experience. Must have electronic health records experience, Epic preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Preparation of exam room and patient chart prior to patient visit.
• Patient intake, including brief interview and vitals.
• Assist physician during patient exam.
• Documentation in patient chart as supervised by physician and nursing supervisor.
• Administration of medications/vaccines as ordered by physician.
• Ensure that patient office visits are conducted following IGO Policies and Procedures including direct patient care, patient education and training, and appropriate and complete documentation in the patient’s medical chart.
• Participation in office regular staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
