Editorial Assistant

IGI Global, an international academic publishing house based in Hershey, PA, is seeking a motivated and energetic individual with a desire to grow professionally, develop strong communication skills, and work with leading researchers in an editorial capacity. This full-time (40 hours per week) position within the Editorial Content Department at the company’s Hershey office serves as a foundation for developing strong communication, business, editorial, computer, technical, and project management skills while working in a friendly team environment. This position offers tremendous potential for growth and upward mobility within the company. The Editorial Assistant provides support in a variety of editorial and administrative areas including communications with book & journal editors, contributors, and reviewers, along with online research, project tracking, file organization, and some light formatting work. The Editorial Assistant will also have an assigned set of projects to work with, affording a wonderful opportunity to establish a strong rapport with experts in a multitude of fields.

Qualified candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and research skills, and should be able to multi-task, meet established deadlines, and work well independently. Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is preferred. Publishing, copy editing, and online research experience is a plus, but not required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
