Summary of position:
The Drupal Developer, International Websites plays a pivotal role within the Global Marketing Team, focusing on the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of the Study Abroad Foundation's (SAF) public websites, including studyabroadfoundation.org and its regional counterparts. Reporting directly to the Product Owner, International Websites, this role is critical in executing the digital strategy and technical roadmap laid out by the Product Owner.
As a technical expert, the Drupal Developer, International Websites will engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle for Drupal-based systems. This includes architectural planning, detailed design, coding, testing, and integration with both third-party services and IES Abroad's proprietary systems. The role demands a robust understanding of cloud-hosted Drupal ecosystems and the ability to apply various methodologies to ensure their optimal performance and security.
The nature of the work requires the Drupal Developer to adeptly manage concurrent projects, demonstrating flexibility and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively, sometimes on a daily basis. Collaboration is key; the Developer will work closely with other technical teams and the Product Owner to align development efforts with broader organizational goals.
Key to success in this role is a deep knowledge of Drupal, a strong background in web development and systems integration, and the ability to align technical solutions with the needs of both internal stakeholders and end users. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player, eager to learn, and willing to share knowledge and mentor peers within the development team.
