INTERNAL COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST (Wordsmiths welcome to apply to this rewarding, fully in-person position)

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Communication Specialist with a flair for developing creative content to join our team. This role will play a pivotal role in enhancing internal communication strategies that engage and educate our employees, strengthen morale, and promote a positive company culture. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and a knack for engaging diverse audiences through innovative and high-quality content across multiple communication channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of content marketing initiatives to engage employees, increase morale, generate pride in our unique culture, and support our business initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality communication materials across various media channels, ensuring they are compelling, creative, and tailored to specific audiences.
  • Craft written content that aligns with our brand's tone, style, and messaging, including newsletters, brochures, presentations, emails, invitations, intranet and website content, flyers, posters, and signage.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and insights for content development and dissemination.
  • Craft written content that aligns with our brand's tone, style, and messaging.
  • Uncover and amplify good news stories, elevate our people, reinforce our culture, and instill a sense of pride in IEP’s business.
  • Coordinate and/or support community relations efforts, exhibitions, event planning and promotion, and award submissions.
  • Respond to requests for internal and marketing communications support as well as proactively identify and help solve communications needs.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized content calendar and asset repository. 
  • Generate captivating photo and video content.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Two to four years of professional experience in marketing communication.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excel in producing content both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating creativity and a sharp eye for detail. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change. 
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including Google Workspace, email marketing software, and design software/platforms. Experience with Adobe In-Design and PhotoShop is a plus.
  • Ability to use a PC with windows operating systems.
  • Complies with company policies and standards.
  • Abides by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI).

Requirements

Wordsmithing! Must be adept at skillfully framing the accomplishments and achievements of our dedicated healthcare providers and colleagues into impactful highlights for multiple internal newsletters and other publications. Must be able to provide evidence of prior professional written communications (writing sample) when requested.
