Community Guides will work with individuals with disabilities and assist them in reaching meaningful goals and building independence. Looking for individuals who are assertive and have knowledge of local resources and community activities.

Must be dependable, have a good work ethic and excellent attendance.

POSITION-
Community Guide in Rehab Center.

DETAILS-

This position is working with individuals with disabilities that are in a rehabilitation center. You would be assisting the individuals-

- To engage in activities within their community center

- To engage with their local community

- Finding transportation. (Signing up for bus service)

- Finding meaningful friendships/relationships

- Assessing for need for communication devices (phones, tablets, etc). And, if needed, advocating for the funding for those.

- Engaging to keep spirits up. (Games, reading, etc.)

EXPERIENCE-
No experience necessary & all training provided. Although must have the following

- Be at least 18 years old

- Be able to pass a DSHS background and fingerprint check

- Agree to a drug free workplace policy

- First Aid/CPR card (we provide training and pay you while you attend class.

- Ability to apply training effectively

- Have a good work ethic & excellent moral compass

- Be an independent, creative & out-of-the-box thinker

- Ability to effectively problem solve

- Must be dependable & flexible

- Must be able to make own schedule or follow one.
