Position Overview:

The Material Handler I is responsible for following standard operating and safety procedures to perform a variety of stockroom functions that may include counting and verifying material received, filling backorders, packaging materials for stock, physically storing materials away, picking materials from stock to fill specific order quantities, performing other standard stock-keeping functions, while always being diligent to safeguard and prevent damage to all materials handled.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains an organized and efficient stockroom.
• Using a scanner, pulls material and issue for production.
• Enters data and completes various system transactions on a computer.
• Validates physical material and counts matches inventory system and identifies any discrepancies.
• Operates various material-handling equipment, ESD workstations, electronic scales, counting equipment, bag sealers, pallet jacks, and uses skids, pallets and carts to complete work tasks.
• Uses a variety of packaging and handling methods to protect the materials from damage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Internal Experience:

• Must be certified in one Core Function (Kitting, Expediting, Outside Services) within this profile with High Quality work performance and 1 year of Service before training in the Material Handler II level.
