Engendren Corporation is looking for a Plant Accountant to direct and manage all plant accounting functions at its facilities in Kenosha and Franksville, Wi. This position coordinates the accounting for all materials and supplies for plant operations and daily production reporting. The position also monitors plant productivity and profitability and advises plant management of variances requiring attention.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Corporate Controller to ensure accurate and timely closing of month end financial statements along with all supporting documentation and explanations
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and inventory valuation
• Ensure regular review of product cost standards
• Safeguard company assets with solid internal controls and compliance to US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and corporate policies
• Coordinate annual operating budget for the plant
• Coordinate monthly forecast process for the plant, working with plant manager and plant team to understand financial results and projections
• Coordinate monthly reporting and forecasting of plant capital spending
• Ensure recordkeeping integrity for both Fixed Asset and Project Accounting Systems
• Prepare estimates of new and proposed product costs
• Monitor the cycle counting program
• Assist in understanding and reducing working capital
• Team with operations management to identify profit improvement/cost reduction opportunities
• Support Corporate Controller and external auditors

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting or Finance Major preferred
• CPA or CMA preferred
• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) a plus
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of financial (ERP) systems (preferably CSI (Cloud Suite Industrial) / Syteline), with strong understanding of financial accounting fundamentals. Good process orientation and documentation knowledge
• Advanced MS Office Skills

Advanced MS Excel User (logic formulas, pivot table, VLOOKUP, etc.)
