IDEXX is Hiring a Multiplex Production Specialist Near Westbrook, ME

As a Multiplex Production Specialist , you will be part of a team that supports the manufacture, improvement and understanding of our veterinary diagnostic products. You will participate and contribute to a fast-paced technically-focused team, executing routine material adjustments using automated equipment, and manufacturing work-in-process and finished goods on Bar Coded Magnetic Beads. All while making a difference by producing innovative products that keep animals healthy.

What you can expect in this role
Set-up, stage, and operate complex automated equipment during dilution of Multiplex BMB’s.
Record data and materials used on a real-time basis, accurately for Quality Assurance traceability within manufacturing document batch records.
Operate and read microtiter plates using plate reading hardware equipment.
Utilize numerous types of software for data analysis for release of product.
Adhere to production schedules outlined by Planning to efficiently coordinate multiple dilutions on equipment and not disrupt downstream production processes.
Recommend changes in product or test method for improvement or consistency.
Meet or exceed all safety requirements.
Perform required preventive maintenance.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Adheres to and models the IDEXX Purpose & Guiding Principles.
What you will need to succeed
Ability to read, interpret and carry out detailed instructions furnished in either written, oral or diagram form
Ability to use and operate basic laboratory equipment such as pipettes, glassware, and analytic measuring devices.
Ability to positively communicate with peers and support staff.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group.
Basic math skills and ability to work with units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions, basic algebra, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.
Strong problem-solving skills; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in the absence of a supervisor.
Strong PC skills with basic Microsoft and spreadsheet experience.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand and sit for extended periods; extend and reach with hands and arms; and use hands and fingers to handle, squeeze, twist and manipulate objects, controls and tools.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Regularly perform repetitive bench work.
Personal protective equipment and/or clothing required.
Work Environment
May work in a high traffic warehouse environment or Laboratory environment with exposure to biohazard material.
