The I.T. Support Specialist works as part of a team that provides professional managed I.T. services to IDEOLITY clients. These are primarily nonprofit, professional services, administrative and knowledge organizations in the Kansas City metropolitan area and elsewhere. 

IDEOLITY will consider applicants who prefer minimal full time (30 hours/week) as well as full time (40 hours/week). Occasional use of your vehicle is required and a bi-weekly mileage reimbursement will be paid.

This position has these primary responsibilities: 

• Acting as a team member to assure the highest quality I.T. support to our clients.
• Have an enthusiastic approach to learning new I.T. capabilities
• Acquiring proficiency in IDEOLITY’s software stack, including remote monitoring and management software (RMM), professional services automation (PSA), knowledge base (KB), etc.

Also, you will be:
Preparing new hardware for deployment
Taking care of parts inventory and e-recycling
Occasionally going to client sites to install, troubleshoot, repair or replace computing devices

Helpful characteristics:

1. Have a basic skill set grounded in the Information Technology discipline of computer science.
2. Familiar with the function of personal computers, local area networks and the internet.
3. Good written communications skills (mainly emails and ticket notes).
4. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; seeks help from teammates.
5. Works well in group problem solving situations and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
6. Demonstrates attention to details.

Education and/or Experience:

Certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, etc. are not required but necessary for advancement and we'll help you get them.
