```Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to implement behavior plans and provide support in various settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and their families.
Duties:
- Implement behavior plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Collect and record data on individual's progress and behaviors
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Provide support and guidance during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in a behavioral health or special education setting
- Knowledge of data collection methods and techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to developmental disabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and other team members
- Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior plans accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to inhale aerosolized medication (e.g., asthma inhaler)
- High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards
