Great Little Rock Firm looking to add additional Paralegal to their team. (Defense Litigation Preferred) The ideal candidate will be skilled in researching claimant backgrounds with a particular skill in requesting, reviewing and summarizing medical treatment and billing records. Additional research will include background on potential witnesses, jurors, experts, etc. for jury trials and can include the following: criminal history, claims histories, driving records, social media composites. This position will require someone adept at responding to discovery requests, coordinating exchange of information and scheduling with opposing counsel and other tasks to facilitate virtual and in-person depositions, hearings and other meetings.

This position requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Paralegal. Duties include drafting and research.

The position also requires:

• Preparing correspondence and legal papers such as summonses, complaints, motions, responses and subpoenas under the supervision of an attorney.

• Conservation of attorneys’ time by reading, researching, reviewing, verifying and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating communications; organizing client conferences and attorney meetings; scheduling couriers, court reporters, videographers, expert witnesses and other special functions; coordinating preparation of charts, graphs and other courtroom visuals; and preparing expense reports.

• Managing attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions and travel; monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings and filing requirements; monitoring evidence-gathering; anticipating changes in litigation or transaction preparation requirements.

• Generating revenues by documenting and inputting billable time and reimbursable expenses; preparing invoices; tracking payments.

• Maintaining hard copy and electronic filing system according to practice group needs and law firm standards.

• Demonstrating a high degree of confidentiality in activities. Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney

  information confidential.

• Periodic travel to include on-site trial support.

  This position is a full time, non-exempt position and may require periodic overtime and flexible schedule in support of case deadlines.
