This position requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Paralegal. Duties include drafting and research.
The position also requires:
Preparing correspondence and legal papers such as summonses, complaints, motions, responses and subpoenas under the supervision of an attorney.
Conservation of attorneys’ time by reading, researching, reviewing, verifying and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating communications; organizing client conferences and attorney meetings; scheduling couriers, court reporters, videographers, expert witnesses and other special functions; coordinating preparation of charts, graphs and other courtroom visuals; and preparing expense reports.
Managing attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions and travel; monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings and filing requirements; monitoring evidence-gathering; anticipating changes in litigation or transaction preparation requirements.
Generating revenues by documenting and inputting billable time and reimbursable expenses; preparing invoices; tracking payments.
Maintaining hard copy and electronic filing system according to practice group needs and law firm standards.
Demonstrating a high degree of confidentiality in activities. Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney
information confidential.
Periodic travel to include on-site trial support.
This position is a full time, non-exempt position and may require periodic overtime and flexible schedule in support of case deadlines.
