Overview:

As the Digital Ecommerce Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive ecommerce strategies to maximize online sales, enhance brand visibility, and optimize customer engagement. This role will oversee all aspects of the ecommerce operation, including website management, digital marketing, merchandising, and customer experience initiatives. We are looking for someone with a creative and analytical mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the beauty industry and ecommerce trends. The role reports to the Chief Technology Officer.

What You'll Do:

The Digital Ecommerce Director will oversee several key areas to achieve the objectives outlined. These include:

1. Ecommerce Strategy Development:

- Partner with CTO to formulate and implement strategic ecommerce plans to stimulate growth and meet revenue targets across various brands.

- Present regular progress reports on strategy effectiveness to senior management.

1. Website Performance Optimization:

- Lead the maintenance and enhancement of website architecture to ensure a smooth and effective user experience.

- Utilize analytics to monitor website performance and make data-driven decisions for improvements.

- Set and review key performance indicators such as traffic, conversion rates, and engagement metrics.

1. User Experience:

- Collaborate with Marketing and Brand teams to ensure the website's design is both appealing and functional, with a focus on mobile-first navigation, user interfaces, and responsiveness.

- Innovate the online shopping journey through ongoing enhancements, personalized content, and leveraging customer feedback.

- Assess and deploy new technologies and tools to boost website functionality and performance.

1. Ecommerce Functionality Optimization:

- Enhance ecommerce features including shopping cart, payment systems, and product search functionalities.

- Develop and manage SEO and SEM strategies to enhance online visibility and drive both organic and paid traffic.

1. Vendor and Agency Management:

- Manage and nurture relationships with external vendors, agencies, and technology partners.

- Ensure that all external partnerships align with ILM’s strategic goals and deliver on agreed performance metrics.

1. Team Leadership:

- Train and lead the Digital team of ecommerce best practices.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance within the team.

1. Deliverables

- Assist CTO in the deployment of new ecommerce websites of ILM’s Brand websites.

- Monthly website performance analysis reports.

- Quarterly reviews of user experience enhancements.

- Regular updates on SEO and SEM performance metrics.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years in website operations, e-commerce, digital marketing, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
• Proven track record of leading successful website initiatives, driving growth, and improving user experience.
• Strong project management skills, demonstrating the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively.
• Deep understanding of web technologies, SEO/SEM, UX/UI best practices, and ecommerce platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Solid technical background with a thorough understanding of the technologies involved in the projects.

Technology Proficiency:

• Excellent expertise in WooCommerce, PHP, and Shopify.
• Proficiency in the marketing/commerce analytics domain & tools such as Google Analytics.
• Understanding of data engineering and analytics services on Azure.
