Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg

Salary: $30/hour - $41.50/hour (based on years of experience)
Location: Kansas City, MO
Shift Differentials: $4/Nights & $4.00/Weekends
Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Bonus: $30K Sign on option
Shifts Available: Days & Nights / Rotating Weekends

Job Summary:
Registered Nurses play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional clinical expertise and compassionate care to adult patients with various medical, surgical, cardiac, or neurologic conditions. As part of the Medical Surgical Unit, you'll have the opportunity to expand your knowledge base while caring for general, urology, and vascular post-surgical patients in a Level I Trauma Facility. While primarily stable patients without drips, this unit offers a dynamic environment for learning and growth.

What you will do in this role:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments following standards of care and disease-specific protocols.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
• Provide education and emotional support tailored to the patient’s age, culture, condition, and circumstances, integrating patient/family teaching into nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required. This experience need not be recent.
• Graduate from a school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or holds an active compact license.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 6:1
