Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Tecumseh, NE
Shift: Monday thru Friday and rotating weekends
Salary: 36.00-56.00/hour – Depending on experience
Experience Required: Minimum one year of outpatient PT experience

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our outpatient clinic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care through the evaluation, planning, and implementation of individualized physical therapy programs. This role involves working with patients of various ages and conditions to help them achieve optimal physical function and mobility.

• Plan, organize, and direct the operations of the Physical Therapy department.
• Evaluate each patient to develop an appropriate plan of treatment tailored to their specific needs.
• Implement and supervise treatment programs, addressing patient problems and anticipating possible complications.
• Review patient cases with their physicians, discussing and implementing necessary alterations in the treatment plan.
• Report on patient progress and inform the physician when maximum therapeutic benefits appear to have been reached.
• Perform proper documentation in medical records, including evaluation, progress notes, and discharge summaries for each patient visit.
• Communicate patient treatment protocols to supportive personnel on a daily basis.
• Supervise activities of physical therapist assistants and aides, ensuring they provide physical therapy services as designated by the plan of care.
• Participate in interviews, hiring, and supervision of departmental employees.
• Counsel employees on matters concerning patient and staff relationships, disciplinary actions, and job performance.
• Participate in annual performance appraisals, recommending promotions, transfers, and terminations based on these appraisals.
• Participate in purchasing decisions and maintain equipment in conjunction with the Maintenance department to ensure maximum care and treatment for patients.
• Review pertinent literature and journals, and attend seminars and conferences to further the development of physical therapy practices.
