Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapy Assistant / Exercise Physiologist to join our team. As a Balance and Vestibular Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of The Clinic Director to provide therapy services to patients in need. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Duties:
- Assist in the evaluation and assessment of patient's conditions and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient's goals and abilities
- Provide therapeutic interventions, exercises, and activities to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and daily living skills
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued progress at home
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and treatment sessions
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and their application in occupational therapy
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Understanding of occupational health principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively in acute care settings
Qualifications: (any of or combination of)
- Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- PTA
- Strength and Conditioning Coach
-Personal Trainer
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
