Job Overview: As a Truck Equipment Planner at Cobalt Truck Equipment, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the scheduling, delivery, and purchasing of truck bodies and chassis, as well as overseeing the logistics for unfinished bodies, chassis, and completed trucks. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Scheduling Coordination:
   • Develop and maintain schedules for the production and delivery of truck bodies and chassis from suppliers, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
   • Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflow and allocate resources effectively.
   • Communicate with internal clients to coordinate delivery dates and address any scheduling conflicts or changes.
2. Purchasing Management:
   • Source and procure truck bodies, chassis, and other major equipment from suppliers and vendors, negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
   • Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to meet production demands.
   • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products, staying updated on industry trends and innovations.
3. Logistics Oversight:
   • Coordinate the transportation of unfinished bodies, chassis, and completed trucks between manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and clients.
   • Optimize logistical processes to minimize costs, streamline operations, and enhance overall efficiency.
   • Manage inventory tracking systems to monitor the movement and storage of equipment throughout the supply chain.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, quotes, order confirmations, shipping documents, inventory levels, and production schedules.
   • Generate reports and analyze data to evaluate performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in logistics coordination, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
