General Information
  • This position works with extremely sensitive information. In order to be considered for this opening, you must not have any felony or misdemeanor convictions. Candidates with misdemeanor convictions may be accepted with a waiver approved by the IDFG Enforcement Bureau Chief. You will also be required to pass a criminal background check and have your fingerprints taken and processed.
Responsibilities
  • Collecting court-ordered monies payable to the Department.
  • Tracking of all Fish and Game civil penalties, meat processing fees, and restitution payments
  • Providing statistics on court-ordered monies for the quarterly Regional Conservation Officer (RCO) conference calls.
  • Downloading the Fish and Game court disposition file prepared weekly.
  • Linking court dispositions with our Fish and Game citations.
  • Entering license revocations in the state licensing system.
  • Working with the courts when needed to get correct or missing license revocation information.
  • Other job duties include answering phone calls from both staff and the public, walk-in traffic, general office tasks, and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: (These qualifications are required.)
  • Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors. (Typically gained by having at least one year of experience (or more) monitoring records systems, identifying problems and correcting errors.)
  • Experience researching a variety of sources to resolve problems. (Typically gained through experience researching and compiling information in order to prepare reports that include recommendations.)
  • Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments. (Typically gained through at least one year of work experience with responsibility for reviewing documents or actions for compliance with laws, regulations, and/or policies or through explaining to others how laws, regulations or policies apply to specific situations.)
  • Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system. (Typically gained by at least six months of experience in a work setting which required data to be entered and retrieved in a database records system or other computer records system.)
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in serving the mission of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, and will have knowledge and an appreciation for hunting, fishing, and trapping activities. Additional consideration may be given at the time of interview to candidates who have some knowledge or experience in hunting, fishing, and trapping.
