Idaho Falls Rescue Mission (IFRM) is a gospel rescue mission that exists to provide help, hope and a future to the hungry, homeless and hopeless in our community through the power and love of Jesus Christ. IFRM considers every position one of ministry. Therefore, it is essential that all employees of IFRM have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and subscribe to our Mission Statement, and share our core values.
IFRM provides food, clothing and shelter to homeless population in Idaho Falls. Must be able to work 40 or more hours a week, have a heart for people, be reliable, ability to prioritize duties with limited supervision, able to manage and de-escalate a crisis effectively with guests and community members.
Duties include shelter security and guest check-ins. Successful applicant will administer testing as needed for substance abuse issues, ensure compliance with policies of the mission, ensure all guests sign in appropriately and perform bed checks. Also attend staff and shelter meetings.
Successful applicants will be able to work the available shifts, have a high level of personal integrity, as well as a level of professional maturity, hands - on computer skills, administration and organizational ability, be a team player and an innovator, able to communicate clearly both written and verbally, and flexible. Experience in rescue mission or comparable field of work is appreciated, but not required. Work with authorities and other departments through communication, reports, meetings, etc. to make sure we are in unity with the general purposes and goals of IFRM.

- Must be able to understand and adhere to policies listed in the IFRM handbook.
Preferred but not required for hiring selection:
-Experience in ministry, leadership and/or social work
- CPR certified (or capable of attending CPR/1st Aid certification program).
- Experience conducting drug and alcohol testing.
- Experience utilizing de-escalation techniques.
