Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: Under supervision by a Registered Nurse, provides care to patients using a patient and family-centered model to patients who are newborn up to 18 years of age, to include patient and family education while ensuring adherence to professional standards and IFCH policies, procedures, and guidelines. Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with co-workers/physicians/ nurse managers. Communicates about changes in patient’s condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomology. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.

Education/Certification: Graduate of an accredited LPN program. Current LPN licensure in the state of Idaho. Current BLS certification and renewal as required. Successful completion of IV push medication training from an IFCH approved course must be completed within 6 months of hire. Successful completion of ACLS and PALS courses are required within 1 month of hire.
Experience: One year experience as an LPN. Previous pediatric experience preferred.
Equipment/Technology: Basic computer knowledge and is able to demonstrate understanding of basic computer documentation systems as needed. Has the ability to learn and increase competence regarding patient care and equipment within unit.
