Idaho Central Credit Union is Hiring an Accounting Officer Near Chubbuck, ID

Overview

As an entry level Accounting officer, you will analyze financial information and prepare financial reconciliations and reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities within Idaho Central Credit Union.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reconciliations of general ledger and internal accounts.
  • Research outstanding transaction exceptions and finalize transaction postings.
  • Track expenditures by categories and business line budgets.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to proper accounts.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Process team member reimbursements and corporate credit card expenses
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience. Minimum of 0-3 Years’ experience. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Must have the ability to work under pressure and organize tasks for optimal performance. Requires excellent organizational, communication, and relationship building skills.

Performance Standard:

Must take pride in department, always meeting and exceeding member’s expectations. Must be professional and courteous in manner, with a focus on details, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
