Position Summary & Highlights: We are seeking a Advance Phlebotomy Lab Technician full time day shift to work in Boise Saint Alphonsus Medical Center. What you will do: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the phlebotomist performs the manual tasks involved with registering, ordering, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages. This person is responsible for utilizing relevant computer programs and performs data entry. This person serves as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests as well as maintaining quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and the reporting of results received. Minimum Qualifications: Preferred: Phlebotomy certification. Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting is highly preferred. ASCP as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) or equivalent preferred. Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. One year phlebotomy in a hospital setting required.
