Description

Position Title: SQL Developer-Analyst The SQL Server Developer-Analyst will play a key role in the development and support of SQL Server (T-SQL) related development projects and application support related issues. The individual will be reporting to the Director – Technical solutions and will be working from our Atlanta (John’s Creek), GA IT office (at least 2-days a week). Team Overview The Distribution Systems – Technical Solutions Development (DEV) team’s mission is to enable our distribution capabilities and drive client engagement through technology, information design, and process improvements that deliver our products, services, and brand promise to customers and prospects. More specifically the DEV team drives the vision, strategic development, implementation, and on-going support of Distribution Systems (Manhattan SCALE WMS) and associated applications / tools across businesses and regions. This team also manages client information (MS SQL Server) and reporting. Role Responsibilities Create, maintain, optimize SQL Server objects (Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Scheduled Jobs etc.) and ETL processes. Work with all levels of development from analysis through implementation and support. Resolve end user reported issues through collaboration with IT and Operations. Participate in project meetings, providing input to project plans and providing status updates. Analyze Database structures and relationship of the Manhattan SCALE system (Warehouse/Distribution, Trading Partner, Billing, Labor management system) to establish knowledge of data for accurate retrieval and use in T-SQL queries. Guidance will be provided to learn and understand the Manhattan SCALE system. Writing and maintaining technical documentation based on business and functional requirements. Collaborate with Other IT team members/end users to understand/gather requirements and ensure proper testing and validation. Work Conditions Minimal travel when new warehouses or major client implementations go live (<10%). Small office environment with 10-15 other IT team members. Sitting for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components. Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals. Focus will be on writing optimal T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, reading query plans, tuning indexes and troubleshooting issues. Good problem solving, analytical and communication abilities Ability to focus on development & design details and quality verification. Ability to work on tasks across various fast-paced projects.
