iD Castings is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, modify, PM, upgrade and install manufacturing and facility equipment and machinery. This is a 2nd shift position.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Plan and schedule work to maintain equipment in acceptable condition while anticipating and preventing interruptions in plant procedures.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), controls, safety, devices, lock out/tag out, etc.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
• Monitors machines and/or equipment to detect malfunctions, diagnose problems and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on factory equipment as required on a regular basis.
• Minimize downtime, repair on the line, if possible, by effective use of resources including response time, technical expertise, tools, spare parts.
• Maintain accurate documentation for purposes of good communication and lessons learned.
• Work proactively with Engineering and Production to evaluate and implement machine changes to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This is a 2nd shift(12pm-10:30pm) or 3rd shift (10pm-8:30am) position- Monday thru Friday.
• Shift Differential $1.50/hour

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

• High School Diploma
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (Foundry Maintenance a plus).
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams and apply information to obtain timely repairs.
• Demonstrated skills in trouble shooting, repairs and preventive maintenance of heavy industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Industrial background working with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusion.
• Ability to work closely with Production and Engineering to achieve maximum up-time and quality.
