Icons America is Hiring a Quality Manager Near Dallas, NC

Main Role:

The Quality Manager is responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems.
  • Oversee inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements.
  • Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products.
  • Lead a team of Quality engineers, technicians, inspectors, auditors, analysts, and technicians.
  • Work with customers, employees, contractors, and outsourcing firms to develop product requirements.
  • Report to top management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement.
  • Conduct periodic management review meetings.
  • Oversee product recalls.
  • Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
  • Keep up on standards, regulations/laws, issues, and news with respect to product (service) quality.
  • Work with Production Management and Quality Assurance to provide feedback to assemblers regarding accuracy of assembly procedures.
  • Perform review of Product History Records and other documentation for compliance with established procedures and Good Documentation Practices
  • Participate in Kaizen and 5S activities in Team.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • B.S. degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering desired.
  • Minimum 7 years related manufacturing experience required. Plastic injection mold preferred.
  • Supervisory/management experience.
  • ISO, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with developing/documenting procedures.
  • Use of Quality Engineering methods in inspection.
  • Computer proficiency.

Physical requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access all areas of the facility to review quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
