Icon Power is looking for a Solar Electrical Lead. The Solar Electrical Lead will work under the Crew Lead and will provide technical expertise to the installation teams and assist with the electrical portion of the solar installation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assemble all electrical components of a residential solar system.
• Review bill of material and load all necessary equipment for each project.
• Structurally mount racking and electrical equipment and effectively seal penetrations.
• Communicate the necessary job status data to the Crew Lead to assure the successful completion of solar systems installations.
• Lead efforts for safe working practices for the installation team while always complying with OSHA standards.
• Document completion of completed installation.
• Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety.
• Operate company vehicles and/or other equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean work site and safe working environment.
• Ensure job sites are left clean.
• Properly use Personal Protective Equipment and assist training new team members.
• Additional duties required as needed.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation is helpful.
• An understanding of construction drawings and blueprints.
• Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Thrive in a team environment, display leadership qualities.
• Excellent organizational skills, detailed oriented, reliable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide instruction and training to installers.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience with electrical, solar or construction required.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work at great heights.
• Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, etc).
