Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic information
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Assist with medical procedures and provide support during emergencies
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases
- Conduct phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures as needed
- Operate and monitor neonatal ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum of 2 or acute care setting
- Proficiency in patient assessment, infectious disease care, and IV insertion
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and standards
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with ICU patients
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or related specialty
