Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical/surgical unit
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and progress
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and preventive measures
- Assist with discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care
- Perform phlebotomy and other basic laboratory procedures as needed
- Provide wound care, ostomy care, pain management, and other specialized nursing interventions as required
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and documentation
- Knowledge of infant care, toddler care, and family planning practices
- Experience in home care or community health is a plus
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
