Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physical examinations and assess patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor vital signs and document patient progress
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as CT scans and medical imaging
- Insert intravenous (IV) lines and provide IV therapy
- Provide wound care and perform sterile dressing changes
- Assist with sterile processing of instruments and equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in West Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing or related field
- Proficient in performing physical assessments, including vital signs monitoring
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
