Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to the care plan as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with developmental disabilities, critical care needs, geriatrics, ostomy care, urgent care, occupational health, behavioral health, etc.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of health coaching principles and workers' compensation laws is preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required based on unit-specific requirements
