Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services. Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms, conditions, or reactions to medications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Texas
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Strong knowledge of working with people with developmental disabilities, critical care, geriatrics, ostomy care, urgent care, occupational health, behavioral health, health coaching, workers compensation law
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
