Under general supervision, incumbent is responsible for various types of commercial real estate loan second reviews. This individual is required to communicate with the lending staff and outside attorneys to receive required documentation and clarification for files. Required to work in a fast paced work environment meeting closing deadlines with accuracy. Ability to follow set procedures is required with the knowledge and understanding to make reasonable decisions. Responsibilities Perform review of commercial real estate loan approvals and loan documentation: Review loan approval to ensure rate and structure meet loan policy Review loan approval for proper authority Review title commitments for any exceptions that need to be addressed; ensure that any outstanding issues have been resolved Review Survey for easements. Ensure survey contains appropriate information regarding easements and boundaries to ensure document is accepted by title company Review flood determination for properties that will require borrower to maintain flood insurance Review flood insurance coverage and send required documentation to flood review for approval Review appraisal and appraisal review for any loan policy or compliance exceptions(loan to value is within policy guidelines, ensure construction loans are accurate) Review loan documentation from attorney to ensure compliance with loan approval and compliance regulations Review loan for HVCRE criteria and proper wording in documents Review loan for Reg H criteria and proper notations on loan approval Communicate with lending staff for any missing documentation or when clarification is needed Complete required checklist and make notations for any exceptions that will be received at closing or post closing Organize shared folder using the naming convention guidelines Update pipeline report to show loan complete Communicate to lending staff that loan is “clear to close” via email Order loan documents from outside attorney Qualifications Education Requirements High School Graduate or equivalent education certificate (GED) required AND Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with real estate loan documentation Minimum of 5 years of experience processing consumer real estate loans Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting real estate loan officers Minimum of 5 years of real estate loan compliance regulations OR Bachelor’s degree AND Minimum of 2 years of experience in working with real estate loan documentation Minimum of 2 years of experience processing consumer real estate loans Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting real estate loan officers Minimum of 2 years of real estate loan compliance regulations Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook (e.g. create new documents, edit existing files, create tables, sort/filter data, print documents, generate new records, email and calendaring) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and be self-motivated with a cooperative attitude Must have ability to prioritize a variety of task and meet demanding deadlines Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations Job Details: Regular To all recruitment agencies: Independent Financial does not accept agency resumes without formal engagement of the agency.
