IMC is currently hiring an LPN, who under the general supervision of the PhysicianPractice Manager and with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer, the LPN renders safe clinical care to patients. The LPN supervises, directs, and monitors the clinical care assigned to her / him. The LPN administers medications, vaccines and performs relatedduties. The LPN must demonstrate the knowledge and skillsnecessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safetyand related criteria for the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatricpopulation.

EDUCATION

• High School diploma
• Graduate of state approved LPN school or MA diploma

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

• Current license as LPN in state of Louisiana
• IV Certification
• CPR

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

• Previousexperience preferred, but not required
• Abilityto communicate effectively
• Abilityto interact courteously and tactfully with patients, Physicians, staff,management, volunteers and contract employees.
• Abilityto triage patients, perform CLIA waved tests, administer vaccinations andinjections under supervision of a Physician.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

• Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing procedures.
