It provides technical assistance during procedures in the operating and pain rooms. Provides patient care within the prevailing national and state standards of practice and the policies of the facility. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager which include, but are not limited to, providing patient care in other areas.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL/OTHER:Education: High School diplomaExperience: 1 year surgical experience preferred.Certification/Licensure: Surgical technologists are required to complete an accredited educational program for surgical technologists and hold and maintain a certified surgical technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists Steward Health Care is proud to be a minority, physician owned organization.
