The Opportunity:

Title: Director of Maintenance
Location: Teterboro, NJ
Reports to: Head of Aviation

Reporting to the Head of Aviation, the Director of Aviation Maintenance will join a well-established flight department. You will be responsible for the following:

• Management of all aspects of maintenance relating to the company aircraft
• Budgeting and forecasting of maintenance costs
• Conducting required aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs in-house as able.
• Overseeing aircraft inspections at a service center when the aircraft must go in for major service
• Participates in the Safety Management System
• Management of aircraft technicians
• Administers performance evaluations for Maintenance Technicians
• Ensures compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins affecting Flight Department aircraft

Requirements:

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification required
• FAA Inspection Authorization Certification required
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience in a Part 91 environment required, including budgeting
• Experience effectively managing a team of professionals
• Minimum 10 years maintenance experience required
• Demonstrates knowledge of the planning, implementation, and direction of the maintenance programs and control system for the aircraft operated
• Familiarity with Computer based aircraft record keeping
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed; to include occasional nights and weekends
• Live within or willing to relocate within a two-hour commute to Teterboro airport
• Outstanding relationship building skills and the desire to provide exceptional customer service
• Utmost professionalism with ability to remain flexible under pressure
• Energetic and proactive, takes responsibility and prepares for situations that may arise
• Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle time sensitive situations
• Familiarity with FAA LOAs and MEL creation/management
• BA/BS degree (preferred)

Salary Range: $210,000 - $240,000
