IAA, an RB Global, Inc. company, is seeking a Buyer Payment Specialist to join our corporate team in Westchester, IL

The Buyer Payment Specialist will provide support for all customers, external and internal. They will be responsible for reconciling and posting buyer payments. Running and analyzing hourly reports for purpose of applying wire transfers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive walk-in payments from buyers at corporate office.
• Work with Treasury to resolve payment issues.
• Collect NSF payments and update activity logs.
• Post payment adjustments and reversals.
• Process credit card refunds for canceled buyer registrations.
• Refund buyer account credits.
• Process refund requests from branch locations.
• Research and respond to requests for sales tax refunds.
• Reconcile reports and settle vehicles financed through flooring companies.
• Reconcile and resolve unapplied wire transfers.
• Assist with daily deposit reconciliations and other tasks required by management.
• Assist with the review and processing Proof-of-Export documentation from exporters purchasing in the State of Texas.
• Research and dispute credit card chargebacks and update management reports.
• Manage department email folder.
• Provide timely responses to customer inquiries.
• Update documentation for issues and inquiries.
• Function as liaison between customers and branches.
• Provide language support, if applicable.

• Ensure appropriate authorizations and policies are followed

• Assist with month-end closing and reporting

• Help document new procedures

Competencies:

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Must be proficient in the use of Outlook & Word
• Exceptional Excel skills are necessary
• Must be team player as effective interaction with coworkers essential
• Organization skills and eye for detail necessary
• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years related accounting experience.
• Must have open availability between 7 am and 6 pm. Hours may vary anywhere within this timeframe.
• Must have desire and ability to provide highest level of quality customer service
• Strong telephone skills required
