Our specially trained and uniformed employees deliver all services from window cleaning, marble honing and polishing, carpet shampooing, disinfection, and painting. Our team has experience with clients across various industries, including commercial office buildings, real estate properties, residential buildings, educational facilities, hotels, healthcare, government, retail, warehouses, banks, and more.

AtTown House Cleaning, we'relooking for a hardworking and energetic Floor Technician to join our team. You should be able to undertake floor cleaning and maintenance activities and ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines at all times. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience in buffing, stripping and waxing.

Essential Responsibilities:

Cleaning:

  • Dust and wipe surfaces, including desks, shelves, and furniture.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste.
  • Clean and maintain common areas like lobbies, hallways, and elevators.
  • Move furniture to access the work area/after the job is finished.

Maintenance:

  • Report maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel, such as broken fixtures, leaks, or structural damage.
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Monitor the operation of flooring equipment, including extractors and buffing machines, and report any issues appropriately.

Safety and Security:

  • Ensure that fire exits and emergency pathways are clear and accessible.
  • Lock and unlock doors and gates as required.
  • Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.

Compliance:

  • Follow established cleaning and maintenance procedures.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Keep records of cleaning activities and report any discrepancies.

Customer Service:

  • Provide friendly and helpful assistance to building occupants and visitors.
  • Address and resolve minor inquiries or complaints related to cleanliness and maintenance.

Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance or janitorial team.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent may be required.
  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is often preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependability and a strong work ethic.

Must be able to:

  • Learn simple procedures and techniques.
  • Be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Understand simple instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during the entire shift.
  • Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Must communicate verbally and written with all staff members in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Attend all company-required meetings and training.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
