Equipment Operator
Be a part of our rapidly expanding startup team by taking on the role of Equipment Operator at GLOVIS EV Logistics America LLC. In this essential position, an Equipment Operator is responsible for unloading and loading trailers using forklifts and/or Stand-Up tractors (tuggers), scanning parts and storing parts into locations throughout facility, maintaining inventory control functions, breaking down pallets of parts and putting parts into bins as well as picking and staging orders in a very fast paced environment. We are in search of skilled individuals with excellent interpersonal abilities, a comprehensive grasp of equipment operating, and a dedication to enhancing the overall success of the organization.

Reports to: Operations Supervisor
Equipment Operator Key Responsibilities :
  • Work in a traditional warehousing type environment while picking parts according to customer order and placing parts in work areas or storage locations, while following all company rules and Standard Operator Procedures.
  • Will be required to be able and willing to perform tasks on both Forklift and Tuggers on a regular basis, as you may be assigned to either based off business needs.
  • Read customer orders, shipping orders, or documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
  • Fill requisitions, shipping orders, or documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.
  • Move items from bulk containers or racks, shelves, or in bins according to customer requirements.
  • Will be required to monitor and replenish materials lineside and at various stations in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Scan materials and move them according to standard work instructions where applicable.
  • Maintain Plant 5S as required.
  • Able to work required scheduled deemed necessary to meet the production goals and Key Performance Indicators of the site. Schedule may fluctuate based on the needs of the business.
  • Will be required to safely and efficiently enter and exit trucks at docking stations and load and unload material while following company Standard Operating procedures.
  • Follow/uphold all Company Safety Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Equipment Operator :
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Minimum of one year of experience of distribution or warehouse experience, preferably in automotive environment.
  • Minimum of one year of sit-down forklift experience
  • Must be able to perform basic to moderately difficult mathematical functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averaging, and percentages.
  • Must be able to successfully complete in-house forklift certification class and test.
  • Previous experience using scanners and WMS would be preferred.
  • Must maintain certification and take part in recertification based on company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and recognize when and how to effectively collaborate with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly focused with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Physical Demands for Equipment Operator:

  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
  • Ability to safely use and operate Powered Industrial Vehicles in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to Bend, turn, and use peripherals as required to operate equipment safely within company standard operator procedures.
  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing up to 50 lbs., depending on the location, throughout shift.
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment for up to 8-hour shifts, and any overtime hours if applicable.

The estimated base hourly rate for the Equipment Operator is $20.00 an hour. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
