Overview In this rapidly evolving world, Hytrol is always looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market faster, and optimize customer experiences. We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to help lead this mission. The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. An entrepreneurial mindset for distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs is required for success. Most importantly, we are seeking a candidate with the ability to help build better technical solutions that both our internal and external customers love to use. Responsibilities Lead team scrums to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the projectCollaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goalsWork closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain product backlog according to business value or ROIRemain up to date on trends and best practices for agile project managementPlan and prioritize product development and product feature backlogDevelop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by relevant teamsAssess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategyMitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goalsLead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalitiesServe as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questionsQualifications5 years of experience in technical product developmentIn-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project managementUnderstanding of business value related to features and functionsOutstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skillsSharp analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsProficiency with applicable project management tools and technologyCollaboration with designers to create mockups for the final productAssisting the development team in clarifying requirements and helping them to understand the business sideBefore moving to the next stage, prototypes and other proofs of concepts must be reviewed for feasibilityYou can verify that the product meets customer needs by reviewing feedback from customers or conducting usability testingCommunication with stakeholders is important to ensure everyone is on the exact same page about features, functionality, deadlines, and other detailsPrioritizing product backlog items is based on their business value, the time required to complete them, and the order they were createdTo ensure that developers understand each project's requirements, coordinate with themCommunication of project status and roadblocks with other members of the team Skilled in Microsoft Azure DevOpsSkilled in Business AnalysisEducationBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in related discipline.
