The Controls Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. This duty is performed daily, about 40% of the time.Troubleshoot CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) equipment and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). This duty is performed weekly, about 25% of the time.Use of PLC, pneumatic and electrical test equipment. This duty is performed weekly, about 25% of the time. Performs general maintenance of building and grounds. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls and other equipment.Wires buildings and machines. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
