Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a van to transport passengers to their destinations
- Follow designated routes and schedules
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transportation
- Communicate effectively with passengers and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects, as some passengers may require assistance
- Previous experience in school bus driving or commercial driving is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and handle difficult situations calmly and effectively
- Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus
