Job Title: Technician Trainee- Water

Location: Dallas, TX

Compensation: $ 18-19 per hour

Position Summary

Your role as a Technician Trainee- Water is to provide maintenance services to the community’s aging water systems. Our trainee program will last for 3 months, with an opportunity to advance to a Water Technician 1. This role will report to the Field Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collect accurate data and ensure the safe transportation and operation of all equipment
  • Provide field services for data collection to assess the condition of main line water valves and fire hydrants using a wide array of technologies and specialty tools
  • Maintain clean equipment and toolboxes
  • Conduct water main leak detection services
  • Conduct repairs on fire hydrants and water main valves

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification as required by project locations
  • Must be able to walk on various terrain, work in confined spaces, bend, squat and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • You prefer hands-on roles and working outside in all types of weather
  • Ability to travel as needed, work weekends and work some nights. Travel is based on project locations.
