Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, Three-Dimensional CAD and written process specifications is required.
• Ability to utilize CAD to determine product characteristics from customer provided models is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use additional administrative software such as ERP is required.
• Experience performing mechanical inspection to tolerances of /-.001” utilizing micrometers, calipers, bore gages, height gages, layout inspection, etc. is required.
• Experience operating and programming CMM’s or Inspection Arms is preferred, but not required.
• Experience testing mechanical and physical properties of materials such as shear and / or tensile strength is preferred, but not required.
• Experience performing gage calibration and conducting gage R&R studies or Measurement Process Precision and Trueness studies is preferred, but not required.
• Experience performing Quality Inspection work in an IS9001 (at minimum) or AS9100 (preferred) Quality Management System Certified Company is required.
• Experience performing Internal Audits of Quality System and Manufacturing Processes is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Performing final inspections of outgoing product to ensure that all customer requirements have been met.
• Performing various levels of in-process inspection to early identify product quality issues in the manufacturing process and communicate issues with operators and management.
• Performing material receiving inspection, including mechanical property testing, on purchased materials to ensure compliance to purchase order and customer requirements.
• Performing daily manufacturing process audits to ensure operators and production process remain in compliance with procedures.
• Properly documenting the results of all inspections and audits performed, including logging of time via ERP clock in procedures.

Degree is preferred, but not required.

QA inspection experience also preferred.
