Starting Rate of pay : $17.74 / hour
Shifts Available and Hours : Day shift 6Am to 2 : 30PM
Job Responsibilities :
- Fluent in reading a tape measure
- Assembly line style welding setups for faster production. Ability to handle several hundred small welds applied in a single shift
- Identify proper welding wire and alloy used for the applicable base metal
- Ability to change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set up proper tension on rollers
- Ability to set proper welding parameters (voltage and wire speed)
- Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal and Vertical Fillet Positions
- Demonstrate competency in post welding treatment i.e. brushing, cleaning, straightening and weld quality
Education and Experience Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 yr. experience with Aluminum Welds and must pass a Welding Performance Test given on-site during the interview process Q.A. determination
- Must demonstrate the ability to safely left up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis
- Must have the ability to stand on hard surfaces while working for 8 hours or more / day
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled temperatures for 8 hours or more / day
Preferred Qualifications :
- Technical Training Desired, with a focus in Welding
- Aluminum welding knowledge
- OSHA training a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to keep workstations clean and organized
- Work together with a team to achieve one goal
