Position Title: Autonomous Mobile IV Infusion Nurse
Overview:
The Autonomous Mobile IV Infusion Nurse is responsible for delivering intravenous (IV) therapy services to patients in various settings, including homes, workplaces, and events. This role involves traveling to different locations independently and providing safe and efficient IV therapy while ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Traveling to patients' locations to administer IV therapy.
2. Assessing patients' health status and determining the appropriate IV therapy plan.
3. Inserting peripheral IV catheters and initiating IV infusions according to prescribed protocols.
4. Monitoring patients' vital signs and IV infusion rates throughout the therapy session.
5. Ensuring proper documentation of all procedures and patient responses.
6. Educating patients and caregivers on IV therapy procedures, potential side effects, and aftercare instructions.
7. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing equipment and disposing of biohazardous waste appropriately.
8. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and follow-up.
Requirements:
Education and Licensure:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or 5 years experience.
3. Certification in infusion therapy preferred (e.g., CRNI).
Experience:
1. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, preferably with experience in infusion therapy.
2. Experience with autonomous practice and independent decision-making in healthcare settings.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Proficiency in venipuncture and IV catheter insertion techniques.
2. Strong assessment skills to evaluate patients' health status and response to therapy.
3. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
5. Attention to detail and adherence to infection control protocols.
6. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs.
7. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift and carry medical equipment and supplies.
2. Stamina to stand for extended periods and move between different locations.
3. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for performing procedures.
4. Visual and auditory acuity to assess patient conditions and communicate effectively.

Pay: $35.53 - $38.61 per hour
