FIRST SHIFT- MONDAY - THURSDAY 6:00AM - 4:30 PM

Summary: Prepare products for packing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Create tags for shipping products

· Ensure products are counted and properly packed for shipping, may include banding & stretch wrapping

· Stock products as required

• General housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock areas.
• Operate powered industrial truck.
• Weigh products to be shipped
• All other duties as assigned.

Competencies:

· Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

· Mathematics - Using basic mathematics to solve problems; read tape measures to 1/32 of an inch.

· Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

· Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.

· Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Able to read basic blueprints, calipers and micrometers.

· Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

· Language: must be proficient in English; reading, comprehending and understanding.

Education and/or Experiences

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred; experience as SH1 required.

Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computers.
